Barack Obama – "White Raven" or "Lame Duck"?
When on his recent visit to India Barack Obama declared he's set to beef up sanctions against Russia, which came quite logically in the line with the policy to restrain Moscow. The White House host, judging by his recent State of the Union Address, views this policy as the sole possible way of building relationship with Moscow, its economy allegedly "torn into pieces". The U.S. president is convinced this is the result of the western sanctions and the united effort of prudent mighty America and her allies. In real, the State of the Union Address showed how far from real life the first black U.S. president is staying after 6 years of presidency. As a head of state Obama spent most of his time and effort on international relations, where, as practice shows, he is far from being ideal. His unreasoned actions are only helpful of the military and industrial American fat cats' drive to amass more wealth. Obama, from the very start of his presidential term feeling himself in the wrong box but still playing the role to benefit interests of the political elite behind his back, has made too many errors, just an enormous number of them for a White House head. Subconsciously, he must be well aware of the fact his irrelevancy is harmful for America's image and this appears to be his deep concern indeed. This is exactly the reason to bear a personal grudge against some politicians surpassing him in political matters.
Being of feeble and dependent psychological type, Obama didn't fit the role of the leading world power president from the very start. He's sort of a "white raven" among the American presidents. And he had hoped to par the strongest in the line by merely playing his muscle.
The Noble Peace Prize Winner trying to create the tough macho image has made lots of fatal mistakes resulting, in particular, in excessive deaths in Afghanistan. Only during the first year of Obama's presidency the loss of American lives there was twice as bigger as during both presidential terms of George Bush Junior. There are also Islamic radicals still committing outrages in Libya. There're smoldering armed hostilities having their death toll daily in Syria. Egypt has survived through the bloody revolution and Iraq has been nearly totally subdued by ISIS terrorists fed up by U.S. secret services and bringing regular terrorist attacks to Europe. And this is without mentioning Ukraine where White House realized its provocative scenario of disintegration and bloody civil war. Amid this world stir inner challenges of his own country have been somewhat missed on the acting American president who's staying reluctant to look at them through the magnifying glass even.
Meanwhile during the rule of Obama the external debt of the country has almost doubled, exceeding $18 trillion. It'll take the U.S. 500,000 years to pay the sum even if one dollar is paid each second! And economic problems don't stop bleeding here. Obama is being unrealistic promising to ensure 30 times more working places in the country where 88 million Americans are jobless and reluctant to seek job due to low wages. They rather choose to live on a dole which is bigger actually. In his last State of the Union Address Obama pointed to the relevantly successful Medical Insurance Program in U.S. but failed to mention the actual fiasco of the Medical Care Reform in general. Nearly 45,000 deaths annually in America are linked to lack of substantial personal income of the American citizens unable to afford their medications. The USA ranks the 37 in the list of the world's best health systems. On top of that, during Obama's presidency the number of Americans living on meal tickets has increased by 14 million, Afro-Americans most of them.
Generally, under Obama rather unique things have been occurring in the country. Practically all the initiatives of the black president in domestic affairs, sooner or later, result in worsening of the black minority lot. Say, Obama's line in energy sphere is leading to dramatic rise of electricity costs. By the way, this is something Obama isn't trying to conceal at all. Higher electricity costs in its turn entail hiking prices for foodstuffs and all sorts of services. Large-scaled boost of prices hits people and families with low income in the first run, mainly black populace. There's one more problem emerging amid this background and that is alcohol addiction. According to the Unites States Department of Health and Human Services, 42,8% Afro-American consider themselves "people with drinking problems".
Most interestingly, amid worsening of Afro-American living standards discrimination towards the white populace of America is evidently on the rise. Laws are so loyal to the Black that there are more and more precedents of the harassment.... of the White! E.g., couple of years ago in the city of New Haven there was a grandiose scandal. The group of the local firemen, white all of them, didn't get promotion due to one sole reason: unlike them their Afro-American colleagues had failed the special proficiency tests. Local officials just abrogated the test results so that the failure of Afros wouldn't look like race harassment of the Black. The city court wholly approved of this decision. By the way, the race intolerance skyrocketed throughout the country just immediately after Obama occupied the presidential chair. Ku Klux Klan is again alive and kicking. Some KKK activists who had been getting ready to kill Obama were detained by police. Many white American citizens believe that the American nation has been ruined and the "black" president is just the culmination of the destructive process. Historically, the gap between the rights of various races in the U.S. has been overcome not so long ago. Race prejudices have still deep roots on the subconscious level with many Americans. This is the psychology of a slave or a master feeling himself superior. Psychologically, the laws on race discrimination only highlight the inequality of black and white American citizens. But presently double standards involve both sides. If a white hits another white, this is not so much a heavy crime. But once a black is attacked, this inevitably amounts to a crime based on racial hatred! The laws focusing on lack of equality of different color people actually always keep citizens stay aware of their race differences. Racial standoff adds fuel to the systemic state crisis in the U.S. which has always been in fact a union of independent countries-states. And there's a trend when the Non-Whites settle densely while replacing the European race population from the "seized" territories. So, every big American city has got its Afro or Chinese boroughs where white people are scary to appear due to lack of personal security. Dense race settlement leads to ethnic and cultural fragmentation of the U.S. territory and death of the "melting pot" theory. Ethnic and civilization segregation has become part of the American reality. At any moment under some definite circumstances American statehood may just be torn into pieces. Events in Ferguson were eye-opening ones in the context. And this was just not the first alarm of the sort. No wonder, many Americans have developed especial dislike of Obama. His ratings have fallen to the unprecedented low point. The State of the Union Address this year was viewed on TV by a record low number of Americans, the lowest during the last 15 years. While at the beginning of his presidential term Obama used to be popular with 42-45% of Americans, now his approval ratings have sunk up to 30-32%. Eloquence alone can't help the acting president escape the "lame duck" status.
Practically during whole second presidential term of Obama public surveys show that more than half respondents in the U.S. are sure their major problems are missed on the president who doesn't fit the position of a true leader of the state, whom they can trust. As much as three-thirds of Americans disapprove of the foreign policy pursued by the White House and aimed at "export of democracy" worldwide. Many American partners openly chose it to distance from the U.S. due to this reason. Even more worrisome looks the readiness of some countries to abandon dollar as a payment currency in transactions with the foreign counteragents. To sum it up, Obama's foreign policy may well lead to collapse of the empire of dollar. That's why the speech of Obama before the Congress should be seen as a clumsy attempt to get back the trust of the American society. Bulk of Americans is actually not politically motivated. They believe what they are told on TV and they absolutely don't care about things occurring in Europe, Russia or Ukraine. But even for the American political establishment the populist promises of Obama about pending "industrial renaissance" look rather funny and even helpless. Some openly point to the ungifted political course of the White House. Billionaire Jeff Greene, a participant at the World Economic Forum in Davos, gave rather a nasty future prognosis for those who still believe in "American dream". He said that structural cuts of workforce in American economy threaten to aggravate social tensions. According to Greene, Americans should stop delude themselves that they would soon find good and well paid job, for many working positions have disappeared never to emerge again. And so American citizens should reduce their life expectations and adjust to having fewer things.
Millions of lives worldwide, American ones included, are in the hands of the man subject to numerous complexes, having no firm position on most of the domestic and international problems. This man is constantly chewing his gum (some doctors say this is due to nervousness of Obama) and highly dependent on political and financial groupings behind him (this is, in particular, the Kennedy family supportive of his bid during the presidential race, and Chicago political clan). It seems Obama was placed into the presidential chair as sort of a scapegoat to blame him on all the previously predicted economic problems of the U.S. and all the foreign adventures, undermining stability on the globe but extremely beneficial for American financial an industrial elite having huge profits from military spending and regular raids on "nondemocratic countries supportive of terrorists". Intrigues, useless attempts to overcome his inferiority complex and generally deplorable results of his presidential rule make us doubt that in foreseeable future another black president will enter the White House. When such a leader pronounces "we" trying to emphasize the "American unity" he actually does quite the opposite thing: he highlights the deep shift dividing the American society.
